While traversing across the hill, step onto
the uphill (little toe) edge of the uphill ski and follow with the downhill ski.
Make some powerful steps up the hill.
Do this in both directions. Now try it while turning Make medium radius turns on moderate terrain. When your skis point across the hill, take two powerful steps up the hill. Make your turn and repeat the step...step...turn sequence as your skis cross the flow line. As you become more comfortable, start the stepping action earlier in the turn--just before your skis point across the hill. Do two or three powerful steps and continue shaping the turn.
