  • Watch out for other skiers when doing traversing exercises.

Start in a traverse across a very easy mogul field--one with truly tiny bumps. Absorb the terrain changes only with your legs. Your head shouldn't bob up and down.

  • Remember to extend your legs fully on the down side of each mogul.

Next, limit the traverse by making a turn on and around a mogul. Traverse back over four moguls and turn again. Continue lowering the number of moguls skipped, until you manage one after the other.

Once you've mastered these linked traverses, move to more challenging terrain.

Print this out for future reference and remember to have fun!
