  • Remove your pole straps from your arms.

Make medium to long radius turns, flexing to absorb pressure while shaping the turn.

At the point of transition from one turn to the next (when you cross the flow line,) swing both poles down the flow line. Continue driving the hands down the hill after the poles touch.

  • The poles should touch the snow before you extend your legs around the new turn.
  • Always touch poles as lightly as possible.

Move your center of mass "through the middle of your hands" and shape the turn with your legs.

Flex to absorb pressure, swing your poles, and extend down the flow line to enter the new turn.

  • Hands and arms should remain stable and should always stay in your field of vision. Swing the poles with your wrists and not your arms or shoulders.
  • Stay loose and flexed with light contact between your shins and the tongues of your boots--stay in the Sweet spot.
