Do you quickly run out of steam with sore and tired quads (the big muscles on the front of your thighs)? It's probably because you're leaning back, so try these:
- Make sure the terrain isn't too steep -- try something less ambitious.
- Remove some of your fear by skiing on a green slope with a natural run out.
- Consider standing taller, with legs slightly flexed and your arms well in front of you.
- Keep slight pressure against the tongues of your boots with your shins--always, always, always.
- "Discover" your balance point by rocking forwards and backwards, until you feel comfortable with slight shin pressure against the tongues of your boots. Do this while stationary and when you do a straight run.
